Product Options

I think this is a revisit of an old question.
Setting up Squirrelcart 3.4.1.
I have an Option that is used across several Products.
That is, I offer a selection of silver necklaces as Options for my Pendant Products.
It appears from my reading of the manual that I must set an Option inventory level for each PRODUCT that has the option!
This would make inventory control meaningless.
I have one inventory of silver necklaces that is offered as an option across a half dozen or more Products.
Is there a way to use inventory control of Options across multiple Products?
I seem to be missing something here. Jamie: HELP!

Unfortunately no, there is no way to do this. We will try to add support for this in the future.
