Squirrelcart v3.3.7 now available

Squirrelcart v3.3.7 has just been released. The primary purpose for this release is to add FedEx Web Services support. FedEx is retiring their older Ship Manager Direct service and replacing it with web services.

We've spent many months rewriting our FedEx code and recertifying with them. Now that this is complete, we can focus completely on version 3.4.0.

Along with this, we have released a FedEx Web Services patch to add support for FedEx Web Services to versions 3.0.0 - 3.3.6. While applying this patch will add support for FedEx Web Services, the best approach to add FedEx Web Services support is to upgrade to v3.3.7.

Due to the significant differences between Squirrelcart version 2 and 3 and the complexity of this code, along with the fact that the last 2.x version is nearly 2 years old, we won't be issuing a version 2.x patch. If you need FedEx Web Services support and are running version 2.x you'll need to upgrade to the latest version.

Not sure if this was done on purpose as most might not have done this, not sure if leaving it alone would cause any issues except the fact it wouldnt authenticate for the emails

It appears the file is the older sc.email.func.php file, I am not positive on this but from glancing over it I think it is. I copied the file from the zip you posted and wanted to make sure there where no compatibilty issues.

Yes, that is intentional. Official support for SMTP authentication is coming in v3.4.0. The file you are referring to was provided as an add-on to add that functionality to earlier v3.x versions. Due to the database changes needed for the new settings, it needs to wait until v3.4.0 to be officially implemented.
