still having split package problems

I noticed this problem several months ago and had a ticket at that time.
There were some other issues and upgrading to the newest version of SC seemed like the easiest option so that's what I did.

But now I still have the same problem. It happens whenever people order a bunch of stuff and the USPS package gets split into two packages.

Then package #1 comes back with no cost and only package #2 gets a cost assigned.
The package #2 cost is then added to the purchase as the total shipping cost.
Since package #1 is way heavier it means the total shipping cost is way underestimated and too little payment is collected.

Is there a fix for this yet?

This is not a known bug. If you open a helpdesk ticket and include your site information and steps we can follow that will reproduce the problem, we can look into it for you.
