    No shipping options on step 3

    We use fedex to ship. All of a sudden today, when customers get to step 3 of the checkout process, the screen offers no shipping options and they can't complete the purchase. Nothing has changed. Maybe fedex realtime rates are down?

    Is there a way to verify if there is a problem on fedex's side?

    Their system is up and running. I would try this:

    1. Login as store admin

    2. Go here (change the domain name to yours):
    http://www.example.com/squirrelcart/diag_curl.php

    3. Try the second link and make sure the test works. That will test CURL and OpenSSL, both of which are required for real time rates.

    If that works OK, continue...

    4. Click "Shipping > Tools > FedEx > Rates"

    5. Fill out the form to do a test rate lookup and see if it works. If it works here, then the storefront lookup probably failed for other reasons.

    If you want to do a test in the storefront, check the "Diagnostics Mode" checkbox in the Admin Options nav block, and then checkout. Watch the diagnostics mode popup window when you get to step 3 and see what the actual XML response is from FedEx.

    When I have this problem, its because the country field on the customers address was left blank, and fedex wants that filled out.

    Just make the country field "required" using your squirrelcart admin tools...

    (that's what we do)...
