I'll just let the images explain this one.

On your product records, you'll have this:



When you assign one or more related products to a product, you will see them at the bottom of the product's page by default:



If you prefer, you can enable a built-in nav block to show them that way instead:



These settings on the Visual Settings page in the control panel control how the related products appear on the product's page and do not control the nav block, which can be controlled by altering its Content field.

Jamie this is great, I've been wanting a feature like this for a while, I am sure this will also be a great selling feature for you as well, I also like how your sample shows a phone that bears great resemblance to mine

Yes, very useful indeed. How about a quick "add to cart" button for the related products?

That section is using the same product_thumbnail.tpl.php template as used when showing products in other places. If you add an add to cart button to that template, it will appear.

It would be great if we could have the add to cart button for related products not go directly to the checkout page.

For example, we may have the site setup to send the customer directly to checkout when the add to cart button is clicked. However, it might be a good idea to have the add to cart button for a related item have it's own preference.
