Slight Upload problem

Installed the Downloads module and set up with an initial download with no problems.

In trying to add a second download I get the following message and the upload fails.

Warning: copy() [function.copy]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/pdunton/public_html/squirrelcart/save_record_files.php on line 83

The folder permissions are currently "777".

Assuming two things here.
1. I'm making a stupid mistake.
2. Someone else has done the same thing.

The file I want to upload next is 4MB, well over the hosts 2MB php max upload file size setting.

The upload exceeded the php max file upload size setting.
The host increased the size and all works as advertised.
