    Odd shipping glitch

This was a first, as well as one I could not duplicate. My last order that came in no postage fee was collected by the squrrelcart. I have only two shipping options, express or priority and no shipping rules or sales rules running at the time. Correct weight info is in the product details and like I said, I could not duplicate it. When I order the same items a shipping rate was calculated. I tried to bypass selecting a shipping option and the cart would not let me place the order.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Are you using real time rate lookups? If so, did you try the exact same order, with the exact same ship to address as entered by the customer?

Live rate lookups can fail if the lookup times out, if the courier website is offline, or if the address info entered by the customer is invalid. For that reason, it is always a good idea to have at least one shipping rule with a lower (smaller) priority number than your RTR Priority setting on the courier record you are using for real time rates. That way, if the rate lookup fails at least some rate will be offered.

    Customer Error

This only happens to us if the customer selects the wrong address, we've never seen FedEx offline but, if the customer lives in the United States but for some reason picks Canada as the country - then FedEx doesn't know what to do so it does nothing...

I bet if you go back and look closely at the shipping address, something might be out of the ordinary.
