Stock Increasing when a sale is made

Hi
We think there may be an issue as when someone checks out the cart is adding stock to the cart like an extra 10 items when there is no stock left. Using Ver 3.10
Any idea what may be causing this?

If you aren't running the latest version, you should upgrade or apply all bug fixes for your version:

Running the latest cart version with all updates.

Editing products this morning I found several items with stock levels of 2, 3, or more.
Since all my products are "one of a kind", this is highly irregular.

Note however that the stock increases MAY have happened while running earlier cart versions.

I'll clean up the database and watch for this to happen again.

Just a "heads up" that there might be a problem.

Any problems causing the stock levels to be wrong should be fixed if you are running the latest version. However, upgrading would not fix those stock levels should they be off as a result of bugs in prior versions.

Hi Guys

Thank you for your replies and input, our stock levels were increasing to numbers way above what they originally were, i.e when an item was sold out, instead of making it 0 it would add a number like 10 or 12 etc.

Anyway, we have upgraded the cart to 3.1.3 and made the site not accessible until we go through and fix the stock levels for every single product / options and hopefully this will have fixed the issue.

Just did check of warehouse levels and found two (2) items set to stock level of 2 that had been set to one (1) on the 23rd.

Running latest version SC 3.1.3 with all updates in place.

No question...This is happening.

Open a helpdesk ticket, provide documentated steps that will recreate that, and we'll check it out.

We also are still having issues after the upgrade, updated all stock levels and the cart is still adding more stock to the cart.

1. Upgrade to v3.1.3
2. Apply all bug fixes for v3.1.3
3. Empty your TEMP_Sessions table in our query tool:

DELETE FROM TEMP_Sessions;

4. Fix your stock levels

If you have the problem after doing that:
Open a helpdesk ticket with step by step instructions that will recreate the problem.

We have over 200 unique products each with a level of "1".
THIS MAKES US EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TO THE DESCRIBED PROBLEM!
Running ver. 3.1.3 with the latest fixes has absolutely solved the problem of increasing stock levels for us.
I have been checking stock levels twice a day since Jamie put out the fix.
It is looking good with no anomalies.

Glad to hear it! FYI - this bug can prevent restocking for some orders:

The problem is rare, but you may want to apply the fix just in case.

Google is still able to put products in the "shopping basket." The product is correctly restocked however.

See the 404 status code in the log?

That indicates that the bot tried to add an item to the cart and got a 404 instead meaning they were blocked from doing so.

Hi

We still having stock issues. Running 3.13 with all bug fixes.

Will it be worth upgrading to 3.2?

We have noticed that when the last item is purchased instead of setting stock lever for that item to 0 it adds several items.

FYI Stock is being used in Option Choices too.

Please advise best course of action as this is becoming an ongoing issue and already done many upgrades. Happy to purchase tech support if needed to get this fixed.
