Store Disappeared

I went to put new products in the store this morning and am getting this message:

Squirrelcart Error
Unable to load Squirrelcart.

Failed to connect to MySQL. Check your username, password, and sql host in your configuration.

I haven't changed anything or even logged into the control panel since Wednesday and the store was working fine then. Doesn't this normally mean the user ID, password or database info is wrong, because I looked over the config file and everything is correct there so I have no clue what could possibly be wrong.

Anyone got any thoughts??

It sounds like MySQL is down at your web host.

Actually it wasn't, I checked other databases I had installed on that accoutn and they were all working fine. They still aren't sure what happened or what caused it. I haven't done anything to the database since I upgraded in April. The store was working Wednesday when I added some products and then today when I went to add more products I go the can't connect to database message. And of course there were no error logs, do you think someone hacked in?

What tech ended up having to do was go in and in the config file change my user ID from databasename_userID to just userID and they had to change my password on the config file. That got it up again, weird????

The config file was exactly as it should be, everything was correct as far as database, user and ID (I downloaded it to my computer to check it), that is why I couldn't figure out what was wrong!!

No, not without anything to indicate that from a log file.

The log fiel wasn't working apparently so I guess we'll never know. It's working that's all I care about!!
