Up-Sell / Cross-Sell

Hi,

I read a forum post from 2006 about adding a cross-sell feature to the cart?

Please could you let us know if this is still planned development and when it could be expected.

I think this feature is a standard offering on most shopping cart nowadays and a valuable tool to increase sales.

Maybe done as a separate module. That way Jamie could sell it USING the feature.

but looks like we could do something similar soon with related products showing up below.... but it's not the same.

Hoping to hear something on this. Apparently this is now a major advantage the competition has.

In our case, we'd like to have an option to upsell more of the same item just added to cart or another not in the cart.

So if we do a buy-1-get-1 at a discount, when a customer adds just one, we'd like to remind them that the second one will be discounted and ask them if they want to add it.
