Import via excel or csv spreadsheet

I know this wasn't possible before but are there directions on importing items via a spreadsheet? Thanks.

Many of my product suppliers send me pricelists etc in Excel format.
I currently have a PHP/MySQL setup for importing them into my local database for price and product lookup. I would be interested in the ability to import these products into squirrelcart and update pricing as well as add new products.

Looking at the database for squirrelcart, I can see a lot of information that would need to be setup for this to occur but I also feel it would be of great benefit to many users.

Is there any development in progress for the ability to import products into squirrelcart?

    Thanks

If your host offers phpmyadmin, you can log into that and export a spreadsheet in the format you need. That's how our owner does it.
