Orders not Recieved in records...just email

I have received numerous orders via email confirmation but they did not show up in my control panel records as sales.

The State was missing from the order on the email confirmation. This situation of missing orders in the records happens sporadically.

    Has anyone experienced this situation?

Orders not Recieved in records...just email

I've had this same issue (or at least a similar issue). I'll get a confirmation email from PayPal that includes an order number generated from my store but nothing in the database & no email confirmation from MY store. I'm still under the 120 day support window so I submitted a Help Desk ticket & here is the response:

When Auto Return in PayPal is enabled, Squirrelcart will not complete the order until PayPal notifies the customer that payment has been received. Auto Return only works when a customer pays using their paypal account, and does not work when they pay through paypal using a credit card. When that happens, their IPN feature is what will notify Squirrelcart the payment has been received. So, if you use Auto Return, you must have IPN enabled as well or some orders will not complete.

You can read more about this here:

Even with Auto Return and IPN enabled, if they are not setup properly Squirrelcart will not receive payment notification and will not complete an order. Your best bet is to look through the documentation for PayPal and make sure everything is configured properly:

I've made the changes to the IPN that they suggest...I guess I'll have to wait & see if it works.

    Good luck,
    David
