    Exclamation Inventory Failure

    Jamie:

I had an order for 5 items this morning.
I sell one-of-a-kind items that each have an inventory level of "1".

This mornings order DID NOT reduce the inventory and each item remained for sale until I checked and reduced inventory.

Inventory control is enabled and so far, had been working OK.

Need ideas on where to look for the root cause of this potentially embarassing failure.

Using Ver. 2.4.3 aat present, waiting for a calm period to update.

    Question More; Inventory Failure

    Jamie:

The order was logged and processed correctly and is available in the Orders Panel.

However; This week I was "fussing" with file permissions preparing for the 2.4.6 upgrade. It is possible I didn't get all the file permissions set back right.

Is there a particular folder that would cause the inventory failure?

Your file structure is not used in any way to keep track of inventory so permissions would not factor in.

    Unhappy Happened Again

Sold an expensive piece of one of a kind merchandise today and the product was NOT marked "SOLD."
The order was processed normally but the stock level was not reduced from"1" to "0" and the item remained for sale.

I caught thr error before someone else purchased the same item but, this has been going on from ver 2.4.3 to my current 2.5.0.

I will see the problem more readily than most of your clients will as most of my products are one of a kind items and each sale should take the stock to "0".
