phpMyAdmin is a MySQL database management utility. If you have it installed, it would typically be located in your site's control panel.
Most web hosts provide some form of MySQL management utility, usually phpMyAdmin. If you don't have it, ask your host what you would use to manage your database. They should point you in the right direction.
If you still have problems, send me the URL to your site's control panel (in a private message or via the helpdesk) along with a username/password and I'll see what you have installed.

Hi,
Isn't this password encrypted in the database? How do we set the password to something other than the default?

Hang on, I think I found it. If we change the password in the Customer Admin area for the Administrator, will it encrypt the password properly?

Yes, it will. Any password changes made through the cart (using the control panel or the account options page for a user) will properly encrypt the password in the database.
