Linking to other pages

My client wants to have their extra pages (about us, contact us, etc) in a horizontal line across the top of the page.

I've added this to the demo.php page, but am not sure how to create the links so that the pages load within the index.php page.

I found another thread that talked about linking to other pages - does this follow that, or am I dealing with a different animal?
