Make product option 'required'

Hello. Pretty much as subject - I'd like the ability to make product options required fields, in the same way as address/billing details can be flagged as required.
For now I'm going to have to put some javascript form validation in at the point where the 'add to cart' button is clicked in order to check that the options have been selected correctly/at all.
