A extra input for gift certificates so poeple can enter a number amount and that is what the cost will be. This way you don't have to do gift certificates in a set dollar impliment. I think right now all I can do is make options for $5 $10 $15 and so on and make the corisponding price

OK... Here are some thoughts on this one:
At first, I couldn't figure out the benefit of this, until I saw how many different prices you had in your option drop down! Now I understand.

There are some problems right off the bat with this, that would have to be solved to do this right:

1. cart would have to determine whether option was valid, IE - did they enter a number, or text. If they type text, don't add to cart. Give them an error.

2. If I understand you right, this option would be a text box, and what they type in it is what they spend. So...you would probably need the ability to set some sort of guidelines for what number they enter. For example, have something in the option that would have you specify allowable values, either comma seperated:
5,10,15,20,50,100,1000
OR
5 - 500 - in increments of 5s (or whatever you want)

sounds doable. we will put our thinking caps on! feel free to comment.

Actully it is not that big of a deal. In my last cart I ahd to do the same thing. I just madea aoption that says amount and a blank option value. Then I set up 50 or so options and added each price to it.

I would rather see the other requests first instead of using you valuable time on this.

Sounds good. We will keep it in mind though. Anything that makes the cart better is worth it!

What about making a pricing option?

One that if you enter a code, the price is discounted a percentage?
I have member prices, but they have to contact me for their price and if I could just give them a member's code, then they would be able to enter the member's code and do their order.

Kind of like you see on some places, they have a place to enter the coupon code and with it, it gives so much off, depending on what code they entered.

That would work great for me.
Just a thought.
