View Full Version : Product option 'user defined'

Hello - as I've mentioned before, I'm using the cart for a ticketing site, and all is pretty much working.

I'll try and explain what I'd like to be able to do and see if there is any chance of ever being able to do something.

Clearly, the date 'field' is crucial - I've set Months, Days, Years and Times as selectable product options, and that works fine. However, what I'd like is for these options to be user-selectable (I want to use either pop-up or modal javascript calendars that would populate a form field) and for Squirrelcart to then take that input as an option. In effect, for things to work in reverse - the user supplies the cart with the option as opposed to the cart serving up a list of options.

Clearly I'd have to hack the code around a bit, but this would give me far more control over mistaken date inputs - one form field with inputs limited via the javascript calendar.

Finally, whilst I'm here - anyway of inserting a basic email syntax checker for the email address input?

Any chance/hope/suggestions for these? Thanks again, Mat
