Don't show Subcatagories on main page

How can I have the main page show only the parent catagories and not the sub catagories but when the user clicks on one of the main catagories it will show the subs on the next page.

Sorry for the delay! We seemed to have missed your post. There is no easy way to do this. The template file "show_subcategory_detail.php" controls the display of the subcategories, but if you remove it's contents, you will lose subcategories all together. Would you like us to move this post to the Requests section, so we can add it in a future version?
