Could the cart accomodate the use of percentages in options? This would be a good to put a category "on sale" and allow for tracking of the referral source through the use of discount codes.

Hi Mark,
I think it's a good idea. I'm not sure I understand the part about:
[quote:8b2761cb00]tracking of the referral source through the use of discount codes. [/quote:8b2761cb00]
Do you mean the percentages would help this? Or are you referring to coupon codes for someone to type in, that would trigger a discount?
I understand the percentages. Do you mean allowing someone to specify the cost of an option as either a negative OR positive dollar amount OR a percentage?

Jamie,
What I had in mind is something like this, the merchant would offer a web discount that is advertised through several outside sources. In this case let's say the merchant ran ads in The Detroit Free Press, WXYZ-TV and WJR Radio, all offering a 10% discount. The Option would be for "Web Discount - Referral Source" with the following choices:
Detroit Free Press -10%
WXYZ-TV -10%
WJR Radio -10%
Search Engine -10%
Friend -10%
Other -10%
This would give the merchant the ability to track the effectiveness of their advertising $ as it relates to business on the web site.
Hope this clears up my confusing post!
