ok, so i know you are probably all pc users and don't really care about the small percentage of mac peeps, but the demo.php doesn't display properly on either browser on the mac. I'll probably customize my template to do away with div and span tags if possible or at least change them up somehow, but it's pretty scary when you install for the first time on a mac and it makes a mess. IE 5 is particularly ugly.

I just thought you might like to know.

Hi,

Yes, we are aware of the Mac issues. There are several fixes for them in our Bug Reports section. They will be implemented in the next release, which will be available soon.

Thanks,
Jamie

I am a software developer working solely off a MacOSX workstation and I have probably brought a lot of these problems to Jamie's attention. The bug fixes Jamie mentioned have patched most fo the problems but the big ugly problem has to do with mixing tables & layers..I have yet to be satisifed with this from PC to Mac compatability. Even the home site of squirrelcart.com has the design problem in it.

The admin area on a Mac .. the bug fix is essential to get it to work..but I would not allow a single client on a Mac to use the cart until the next revision is released. It can completely make/break your e-commerce plans...the format is the issue, not the function which is pretty good.

You can see a website I developed on a Mac for a PC client using squirrelcart..I've had to do some modifications of the code in order to get the design problems to clear up. I only have one client on this modified version waiting 4 months for an update, it has been about that long Jamie. However I still see issues viewing from a Mac. www.dutchessbridlesaddle.com (http://www.dutchessbridlesaddle.com )

squirrelcart "could" be the best php/MySQL solution on the market.."if" these issues were addressed. I plan to use it across the board on my hosting server for e-commerce plans..."if" the next update arrives "soon".

Hi BossHoss,

Did you check out v1.1.0? We just put it out. It has most of the Mac fixes in it. If you run across any other problems, please let us know.

Thanks,
Jamie
