how do i make a new theme in the themes table?

Ah....OK....

1. log in as admin
2. click "edit records"
3. click "Themes > Manage"
4. click "Add New Theme"
5. enter a descriptive name in the "Name" field
6. enter a folder name in the "Path to Files" field, such as "mycustomtheme"
7. then, via FTP, make a folder matching the name you specified in step 6, in "squirrelcart/themes"

From there, you can copy only the files you want to modify into that folder, and edit them there.

If you want to set the theme to as your store's default, you do it with the Default Theme setting on your Store Settings page. Keep in mind that an individual user can also have a theme set via the admin section, so if you aren't seeing your template changes, make sure your user's Theme field is either set to blank, or to the one you want to use.
