[ADDED] Option that allows text input from user. [Archive]

Can an option be added to an item that allows text input from the user. My customer offers gift cards with each item in their cart, I would like to be able to add an option for the user to specify what is to be put on the card before adding it to the cart, kind of like any other option, but with text input from the user. The way I am handling this for now is by instructing the user to put this information in shipping instructions for the checkout page (thanks to themes)!

Yes. This is definitely needed. We will work on this. The option system itself needs a lot of reworking. Stay tuned!
