I had this problem when the cart was initially installed and now it is doing it again. This is the error that I get when I try to put an item in the cart:
Error: access denied. Attempting to post form data from an unauthorized host!
There are no items in your cart.
the site is www.WingMagic.com
Thanks,
Greg

Jamie,
I read that post several times and still am confused.
Could you elaborate on what needs to be done or is this a problem that the installer should have to fix?
Thanks,
Greg

This is a bug that only occurs when a browser does not pass the $HTTP_REFERER variable. The fix is to replace the file "squirrelcart/functions/check_referer.func" with the file attached to the post. If your FTP info is still the same, I can apply the fix for you. We do not normally apply patches and updates that have come out after we do an install, but will make an exception in this case.
Thanks,
Jamie

Also some firewalls and privacy programs block the HTTP_REFERER info
I know Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm Pro and many others do this.
I had to disable the HTTP_REFERER checking on my cart/site

Hi n8pqi,
The version of check_referer.func in the post linked to above will allow anyone not passing an $HTTP_REFERER variable to still add to the cart...so...if you want to replace that file in your install, you won't have to disable it.
Thanks,
Jamie

Hi,
I am having the same issue.
I tried to retreive the file that was to be attached to the post at http://www.squirrelcart.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=462 to replace the file "squirrelcart/functions/check_referer.func" on my cart. However, I didn't see the attachment on that post.
Would you upload that attachment again? Thank you!
Jenny

Sorry about that! Here it is. You'll need to remove the ".txt" at the end before uploading it.
Thanks,
Jamie
