How about a nice calculator that can have the transpose number put in once and when you get the order you put in the CC # and it gives you the un-transposed CC#. This would be a great app for the order placement folks.

Hand held calculators do not have enough number spaces! and putting in the transpose number time after time gets old fast :x

Do you mean an external, desktop run application, or something built into the cart? I usually use calc.exe that is built into Windows (95 and newer). It will handle the length of the numbers. It could probably be done via a browser popup. The two methods would be javascript, or using PHP server side. PHP would be a little slower. If I did this in the cart as a popup, I would probably just make it a calculator you could use for anything. I could make a special button on the calculator that would subtract the transpose number with one click. Is this what you had in mind?

I thought that the most important part would be that it remembers your transpose number and that it could handle the 16 digits. This way you do not need to type it in on every order. We use all 16 digits for our transpose number.

Maybe one of the other users could handle this one and come up with a simple add-on?

I like the idea of having a calculator in the cart. I would prefer not to have others make addons at the present time. That is certainly fine for open source software, but we are commercial. We may consider this down the road, but for now, I'd prefer that we come up with a fix for you, or that you find one somewhere else. There are probably some free javascript calculators out there that would do the trick, although I don't know if you could make them remember a particular number like that. I will work on this tonight for you. I can have a very quick PHP based fix to you tonight, and a more long term one (possibly javascript) soon after (if not also tonight!).

I agree, I was just looking at not over loading you with all this at once...The end of the week, beginning of next would be just fine. You guys act as if this is open source by being so fast I kind of forgot!

Thanks!

Hi Denny,

No problem. Thanks for the comments! I will let you know more when I have it going. You should hear from me tonight with at least a quick fix method.

The new version (1.0.6) now has a calculator that is accessible via a button on the control panel. It has a button labeled "-TN" that will subtract the transpose number from whatever number you have entered into the calculator at the time.

The CC function sounds terrific but, I have not been able to get this calculator to anything but flash when I click on it!
