Shipping Rules

Hi Jamie,

Here is yet another request, maybe this could be put into the next version. We publish a national magazine, and on our website we have an eCommerce store as well as sell subscriptions. We need a way to seperate these products in shipping terms. The real problems lie in the fact that we charge for shipping in 3 different ways (as most mags do):

1> US Subscribers...no additional cost (just cover price)
2> Canadian Subscribers : cover price + shipping (1/2 cover price)
3> Internation Subscribers : cover price + shipping (actually twice the cover price)

Plus, we sell other items in our store that have "normal" shipping cost by weight and/or item.

So I recommed adding more options to the rules. For example: And/OR states.

Rule 1

Apply When:
Operator:
Value:
[drop down] And / OR
Operator:
Vale:
[drop down] And / OR
Operator:
Vale:

Or this could be just as easy, setting it up on per product by the database ID value or something:::
Rule 1
Apply When: Product IS
Operator: Equal TO
Value: Magazine Subscription
AND
Apply When: Country IS
Operator: Equal TO
Value: Canada

Rule 2
Apply When: Product IS
Operator: Equal TO
Value: Magazine Subscription
AND
Apply When: Country IS
Operator: NOT Equal TO
Value: Canada
AND
Apply When: Country IS
Operator NOT Equal TO
Value: United States

or something to that effect. Our problem is that, I can set this up to work perfectly for the magazine by using the countries, but if I sell a product other than a subscription then this doesn't apply to those items....
