We will be incorporating groups into the cart. This will allow the store owner to create their own groups for the purpose of offering discounts, different shipping, etc. For example, say you sell a lot of products to your neighbor down the street, and he picks them up at your house. You would not want to charge him shipping when he orders, so you creat a group called "no shipping", and put him in it. Then, you would create a rule that says "if member of no shipping group, shipping cost is 0". Groups will work the same way for discounts. You could create a group called "wholesale", and charge a lesser price if in that group. We also plan to allow the store owner to control what categories and products are seen, based on a group the user is in. Say for example, you only sell 50 lb boxes of candle wax to your registered wholesale customer. You could make that item only show up if the customer was in the "wholesale" group.

Groups have been added in 1.0.6, but are not yet refined. Admin cannot currently create there own groups. Users can now be added to the group "Store Admin" to grant admin access to the store. While groups will be used much more in future versions, we are marking this feature complete, as the group functionality itself is complete. We will be making many things make use of the groups in the future.
