I wrote 2 weeks or so ago regarding enabling SC to link to UK-friendly payment gateways & was told it would be possible, & was asked to give recommendations.

I now have a copy of SC, (am very pleased with it) & am preparing a small site with it for a client.

I would recommend support initially for two gateways for UK consumers:

1. WorldPay - UK owned, it has the advantage of allowing clients who do not have an existing merchant account to get one without going through a lengthy application process with banks. They also have a good built-in anti-fraud protection policy. www.worldpay.com see WorldDirect

2. SecPay - also based in the UK offers good, no-frills, low cost secure credit-card processing for those who already have a merchant account and merely need to get their bank to give them an online merchant number. www.secpay.com

see http://www.interwebdesign.co.uk/support/gateways.htm for a list of uk-based companies

Hope this is helpful.

Could you let me know how quickly this could be done if possible - my current project needs to be launched by end of Sept at latest?

Let me know if I can help you with info etc.

thanks a lot

I believe I have all the info I need to start working with WoldPay, so it shouldn't be too long. Definitely before the end of the month. I will check out SecPay also.

FYI - And update for WorldPay support is now available for v1.0.8, and will be incorporated in the v1.0.9 distribution when it comes out. I will leave this request open (no + before the title) until we get SecPay working.
