Hi Everyone,
We are currently going through the CSP process to become a Certified Solution Provider for FedEx. This will allow us to offer their rate, tracking and shipment tools in Squirrelcart without the customer (you!) having to go through the certification process with FedEx.
The rate and tracking tools will work similar to the way they do for USPS and UPS currently. The shipments tool will allow you to submit shipments to FedEx directly from Squirrelcart's admin inteface, and print out a label to attach to your shipment. Most of the coding for this is already complete, except for portions specific to the CSP program.
To complete this process, we will need some beta testers. If anyone is interested in beta testing, please reply to this post and let us know. We will need to limit this to 5 Squirrelcart users, so we will most likely lock this thread after we get 5 replies.
I am not sure exactly what the process is going to entail, but will let you know when we are actually ready to start beta testing the FedEx tools. What I can tell you is that this will need to be tested on a 2.x version of Squirrelcart. In all likelihood, Squirrelcart v2.0.0 will not be released as a stable version until we have completed the FedEx CSP process.
