This is one feature that really enhances an e-commerce package.
Being able to schedule sales, product features, product additions, etc means that you could input all your promotion of the site in one afternoon and literally walk away while the site runs itself and makes you money.
Imagine if every holiday was programmed for, every sales event, in advance so you could sit back and let your scheduling modify the website's appearance, sales, graphics, anything you wish.
