When researching about Credit Card Processing Merchant Account Services, I came upon this website.

I think others might find this of value.

I want to add that if you on this website rely on the top list of merchant account providers, make sure you have the latest updated fees. This site recommend charge.com to be best. They are not. When talking to them on the phone today, they offer free setup yes, but you pay more long term through their fee system. However, this site provide some good information on fees and what to be aware of.

After many calls, I have made my decision on a Merchant Account and Payment Gateway. I will let you all know the details when we are set up and running.

What I can say is that prices are definetely negotiable and try to get hold of the companies directly and not through their affiliates, resellers and agents.

The general fee structure is set up to cover the cost of a "wild" marketing system. If you pay full price, you are a sponsor a lot of commission salaries out there.

Hi Halloway. What gateway did you finally decide on? We've grown to the point that PayPal just isn't cutting it, and SquirrelCart doesn't yet support the new PayPal merchant gateway, though they've said it is coming soon.

I ended up using TrustCommerce.
