i did, the docs have page cannot be found errors. it sucks and is imcomplete...

plus this forum sucks, i wrote that week ago...

The documentation does not contain links to missing pages to our knowledge. You are the first person to mention this. If you can provide a link to the pages that linked to missing pages, we would be more than happy to fix that for you.

Regarding your initial post, there are 2 very simple ways to find this information in the documentation. If you don't have it, the URL to the documentation is here:
http://www.squirrelcart.com/help

This URL is listed in your welcome email.

Now, if you go to that URL, click "search", and search for the text "login", the first link returned has the information you asked for in your post.

You could also have found this by clicking "Configuration" and then "Login".

In the future, please attempt to find the information you are looking for by searching the documentation and the forum before posting.

Regarding your "this forum sucks" comment, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. There is no guarantee that you will receive a response to any post here. It looks like the response you received was 3 days after your initial posting, which is hardly a week.

FYI the 1.5.5 source which I just downloaded is missing much of the documentation.

When you open sc_docs/index.html the only 'contents' that show on the left are the following:

Welcome
Installation
Upgrading
Backups
Glossary

It seems to be missing these categories which are contained on the online version:

Working With Records
Working With Images
Configuration
Managing Your Store
Customizing

This is intentional to make the size of the distribution smaller. The first page of the documentation that is in the distribution reads as follows:

Welcome to the installation documentation for Squirrelcart v1.5.0!

This documentation describes how to install or upgrade Squirrelcart. Full documentation on all features can be found on our site at http://www.squirrelcart.com/help.

ahh.. as a suggestion you might want to make to maybe make it a little more obvious that the documentation that comes with the package ppl download is *not* the full documentation. I did see the note about the full documentation being available online but I didnt think that meant my local copy was incomplete. Alot of ppl I think probably tend to jump over that first text pretty quickly because they're anxious to get going...

Also probably want to remove the broken links as well. There are two that I'm aware of which appear at the bottom of the last installation page (Testing1.html). Or Maybe link these to the online version or perhaps include an extra step altogether which directs ppl to the online full copy?
