Option question

Hi there,

I have a question about options, and if it has been answered somewhere else I will be happy to go and read it. :yahoo: (I was not able to find it... and the thread #307 (http://www.squirrelcart.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=307) you refered here (http://www.ldev.com/forums/showthread.php?t=284&highlight=values) is not there anymore...)

Question:

The products my customer wants to sell can be customized and some of these customizations are not free (and cannot be purchased as stand alone products). We would like to offer the customization as option(s).

For instance: I sell T-shirts, the customer can choose the color, but the color black has $x surcharge that needs to be added on the check out.

- Is this possible?

- If it is, can you explain me how all the "option" stuff works. I played around with the demo, but I could not add values to them... in general I am confused :confused: ..how they work and what you can do with them?

For the rest, I really like the s.c. expecially the admin side.. very intuitive.

That link was created back when we where running phpBB for forum software, and although we imported all the posts into vBulletin, the older links no longer work.

Yes. You can alter the price of an item based on options chosen.

We will be releasing new documentation with the next version. We have that help available as a BETA, and 99% of it applies to the current version. If you check out this link, I think it will answer most of your questions:
