I am not 100% happy with the way that the options display in the cart. Apparently <?$Options?> displays the options for the product, but they are already formatted somewhere else. It only shows the dropdown menu for instance, and not the name of the option... I want something like:
optionName: dropDownHere
How can I change the formatting of the $Options ?

Hi,
The label before a product option is controlled by the "Instruction" field on the option record. If you populate that field, a label should appear.
$Options is not customizable via templates in any current releases of Squirrelcart (as of v1.5.3). It is setup inside a function, and difficult to customize.
The next release will have major improvements to product options, and will include a template file for each option type:
text
textarea
radio button (new)
checkbox (new)
select
You will also have greater control of options in general, and they will be much easier to add. We've also added the ability to make an option required.

Very good. What I'm most interested in doing is displaying the image that I have uploaded for the option as the option "instruction". Can one use HTML in the "instruction" field? What is the keyword to place the option's image on a page?
Nearly every word of text for my entire site will be done using my font of choice rendered as .gif files. So far it has been very easy to modify the Squirrel to do what I want and I'm amazed at the amount of progress I've made in only a day. I don't think I could have found a better tool to do what I want at twice the price.
