How do I make it so that RTR only fetches and offers 'Global' USPS shipping on orders that arent in the US? I want to offer Priority and First class within the US, and all other orders need to ship global.

But I've had orders coming in where people from other countries have selected an option such as priority, and therefore are paying less than what it's costing me to ship the item.

Hi Tim,

Our integration of USPS real time rates does not return global rates. Your best bet would be to create a shipping rule to apply when country is not US, and charge a percentage of the order amount that would be the closest to what the shipping works out to. We will be adding support for the global rates tool in the future.

Thanks,
Jamie

should I set the priority to 1 or 2?

Hi Tim,

I aplogize....I missed your post and you probably already figured this out. If your USPS RTR priority is set to 2, then you should set the country rule to 3 so it will take precedence when it applies. Our priorities are a little backwards from normal thinking, in that the larger the number, the more precedence the rule has.

Thanks,
Jamie

I set up a new shipping rule for international orders with a flat fee of $15.00 for any country that is not US, but when I go to checkout, the script says "A fee of 0.00 has been applied to your order for shipping". I set priority to 3 as stated earlier in this post.
Any ideas?

Hi,

No ideas on that. Please open a helpdesk ticket, and we will check it out for you.

Thanks,
Jamie

I just had a similar incident occur with a client's site using this cart. However, in the shipping options, I have selected "Global Mail" as one of the shipping options on the USPS carrier configuration. So, I was not sure if this had changed. It still appears to not be functioning.

Thanks in advance for the clarification! :squirrel:
