Questions before purchase

Hi,

This cart looks great and I have a question before purchasing..

I see that in the demo, you can specify how many of a single product you have in stock. Say I specify that I have 100 pieces of a given item. When all 100 have sold will the cart automatically show the item as "outof stock" or will it continue to allow customers to purchase it?

Hi Dominick,

Thanks for checking us out! It can actually do either, depending on your settings. The 4 options for out of stock behavior are:

1. Display item as out of stock and allow customer to purchase it
2. Display item as out of stock and do not allow customer to purchase it
3. Display item in product catalog and allow customer to purchase it
4. Do not display item in product catalog

The first and second options show an out of stock message that you can configure. The 3 does not show the item to the customer as out of stock - it just appears as it normally would. You can see these settings in the Inventory Control section of our admin demo store:
