Have some questions before I order SquirrelCart!

Hello,

My name is David, and I own www.dakdesigns.com . . .

I have been looking for a GOOD shopping cart, for a long time. And I have some questions before I order. here they are:

1) I can have all the order info sent to my Emails right? (I dont want to use a gateway at all)

2) can I customize complete colors? because it's for a military site www.gijanemilsurplus.com and I need to be able to have the military theme!

3) Can I disable shipping prices? We ship UPS but we do it through our computer, because we get better rates!

4) Is there a way I can put a demo on my server to try it out? I need to test settings etc..

Thanks for contacting us.

1) Yes. We do not recommend this, but you can set the cart to email the cc numbers in store settings. You should also put a number in the transpose field, so they are modified before being sent.

2) Most of the colors are specified in the stylesheet store.css, which is considered a template. You can read more about templates/themes here:

3) If you want to not charge for shipping via the cart, you need to create a shipping rule that will charge $0, and name it something that makes sense for you.

4) We do not have a downloadable demo. We do offer a 14 day refund policy should it not work out for you.

Now there is one other question.. I have a play site, called www.airsoftmerchandise.com

Would you let me install the Cart on both sites? The airsoft wouldn't sell products, I would just use it for testing.. so I dont screw my dad's up.. is that a possibility?

Hi David,

You are allowed to have one "off line" copy of the cart for testing. By off line, we mean that it is not accessible to the public via the web using any links, and is used strictly for testing purposes. If you install it in a directory within a site, and do not link to it from any publicly accessible pages, it is fine.

He's thinking about, If I wasn't saving up for a laptop right now, I would definately order one. But, the laptop is for website designing so I gain money with it, I think we're gonna order one. Just how soon I couldn't say..
