I'm very interested in buying your product, I have a couple of questions though. Browsing thru the forum I noticed that you've had a couple of request to be able to ship from different locations.

I too ship from three locations, how close are you to implementing this feature?

Is authorize.net AIM easy to set to set up?

There have been concerns about other PHP based carts, I won't mention the name here, but what about security in Squirrel Cart?

Hi,

Thanks for checking us out!

I too ship from three locations, how close are you to implementing this feature?

I can't guarantee it, but I would say about a couple of months. We are very swamped working on a discount feature, and some other improvements.

Is authorize.net AIM easy to set to set up?

Very easy. You need to click "Settings > Payment > Gateways" in the admin section menu, then follow the instructions in the Description field, which are:

Introduction:
Authorize.net offers two methods of connecting to their gateway, AIM (Advanced Integration Method) and SIM (Simple Integration Method). Squirrelcart implements AIM when you set "Connection Method" to "Server to Server", and SIM when you set it to "Client side secure form POST" or "Client side non-secure form POST".

In most cases, you should use AIM.

AIM Setup Instructions:

1. Enter your Authorize.net account name in the "Account Name" field.
2. You must choose what field you want to authenticate with using the "Authenticate With" field. We recommend that you use "Account Transaction Key" as it is more secure. Make your choice, and specify it in the "Authenticate With" field.
3. If you set "Authenticate With" to "Account Transaction Key", you will need to obtain a transaction key from Authorize.net. To do this, log into your Authorize.net control panel, click "settings", and "obtain transaction key". Follow the prompts, and write down the key they provide you. Then enter this transaction key into the "Account Transaction Key" field.

If you set "Authenticate With" to "Account Password", enter your account password for Authorize.net into the "Account Password" field.
4. Set the "Connection Method" field to "Server to Server"
5. Ensure that "Return to Storefront" is checked.
6. Check "Enabled"
7. Click "Submit Record"

There have been concerns about other PHP based carts, I won't mention the name here, but what about security in Squirrel Cart?

We have not had any security issues to date, and have attempted to make it as secure as possible. We do not store credit card data anywhere in the cart, so there is no risk of exposing credit card info. I would recommend that you use SSL on your site, and if you use AIM, you should be OK.

BTW - we do take security very seriously, and should any security flaw be discovered, it would be our top priority to issue a fix for it immediately.

Thanks,
Jamie
