My site currency is £ british pound but when a transaction is passed to Paypal the amount is correct but the currency is USD $. Can anyone tell me where that is set and how i can change it.

on another matter I want to change the way the tax is displayed. The majority of my customers are in the UK so i don't want them listed as "not listed" in the state window. Can i change the "state" label and alter what is in the database to suite.

eg.

European (charged 17.5% VAT)
Not European (Will advise shipping costs by email)

Thanks in advance

You can change the states by going here:
http://YOURSITE.COM/squirrelcart/index.php?table=States

You will need to add a state record for each state/province that you need.

To change the label, please see this post:
http://www.ldev.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1001&highlight=ship_fields.php

Be sure to read the whole thread first, especially my last post.

Thanks,
Jamie

Thanks for that. Any chance of there being an update in the near future that allows us non US companies to edit settings for Tax so that our customers have a better experiance.

Yes, we will be adding support for taxes in other countries, and easily adding or removing states/provinces. No ETA at this time.

Thanks,
Jamie

hey Jamie,

I'm using Paypal PRO and I'm having the same problem. Is there a fix for Paypal Pro?

Thanks!
Adam

Hi Adam,

When we setup PayPal Pro, it was only available in the US. It has recently been added to the UK by PayPal, but we haven't done any testing with it. We will be adding support for it soon.

Cool, thanks Jamie! I just setup a website for someone in England and we didn't find out about the paypal pro problem until everything was all put together. So I'm not quite sure what to tell the guy at this point. As of now, his entire business is kind of on hold until this is worked out. I appreciate you working on it - I'll keep checking back here for updates.

Thanks again!

Adam
