View Full Version : Questions: Multiple Site Lic / Squirrel Logo

Hi there,

I really like the look of this shopping cart.

1. I'm a web/ecommerce developer and I really like the Multiple Site Licence at 50% off. But it requires a 10 site purchase ($445). Is there a more flexible solution? Like say buying less (2,3,4 ... maybe an affiliate/reseller program) and in exchange for that the discount would be less (say 20-30% off)?

If that were possible, I would then 'really' learn squirrel so that I could make the presentation to potential clients to go with it.

2. About the squirrel logo having to be included in the cart as per licence agreement. Is this set in stone? as I'd more than likely have clients who wouldn't want it there.

My ideal as an ecomm designer would be to specialize in one shopping cart (so far squirrel tops my list) - and 'really' specialize in it.

Hi,

Thanks for checking us out!

1. We do not have any other discounts at this time.

2. We will be changing our policy regarding this. Currently, it is mandatory to maintain licensing. The link benefits us by getting us more traffic. Because of this, we can keep our prices low. We will be offering an option to remove this link for a small fee soon.

Thanks,
Jamie

Did anything ever happen with this? Not sure if I missed it.
I think if you do allow it, it would make a lot of sense in the multiple site option since your end-users are paying a decent fee for multiple carts.

Maybe another way to accelerate adoption/sales is to offer a reseller program, in which those developers that enter it and meet the 10+ quota (or whatever quota you set) are then allowed to remove the links to you guys.

This would be a way of encouraging sales, I think.

Hi,

The policy has changed regarding this. The link can now be removed from the front end of the cart. The logo and copyright statement in the admin section must remain though.

Thanks,
Jamie

We want to include a packing slip with the order sent to the customer but we want our logo on the page? From what I read hear it doesn't sound like we could do that because we aren't allowed to remove your logo and the only place I have found it would remove it from all of the admin side. Is there another way?

We don't have a way to customize the order detail page for printing. We will add something in the future for that. Please don't post in this forum, as it is for "Pre Sales" questions only.

Thanks,
Jamie

I posted here because it related to what I was asking and wasn't sure that I should post a new thread. Some places get upset if a thread already exists and you don't post to it. So again sorry for the confusion.

No problem! In this case, anything that is not "Pre Sales" should get a separate post in a Squirrelcart specific forum category.

Thanks,
Jamie
